21. Should there be a Factional Warfare Forum? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
With FW coming and all the questions that will be continually asked, should CCP add a new Forum to the Board specifically for FW?

22. Hurricane. Balanced or DPS? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
To me an armor tank is a waste 1. If you are camping a gate do you really need a tank? You are just ganking people passing by. What you do need is speed to get to the target or if a blob comes you need speed/agility to get away 2. If you are in ...

23. Hurricane. Balanced or DPS? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I prefer a Nano-Gankacane. 3xGyros and the rest Nanos/ODs. Speed is your friend. Armor is for the weak.

24. If a rat is orbitting @ 50km what is the min distance for your torp - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: NoNah Originally by: Solid Res If you have a rat orbitting at 50km, then what is the minimum your torp needs to go to hit that rat? I realize that 60km would be safe, but if you had a 53km torp range would that still...

Originally by: AstroPhobic Edited by: AstroPhobic on 03/06/2008 01:22:23 Solve into vectors. It's a right triange. You have the y vector - the distance to the target Then you have the x vector - the distance traveled by the target (li...

If you have a rat orbitting at 50km, then what is the minimum your torp needs to go to hit that rat? I realize that 60km would be safe, but if you had a 53km torp range would that still hit? Not sure how much a moving rat effects the distance.

28. Why the claw desperately needs a boost - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Claw fails in roaming gangs because of the 2 mid slots. You need to be able to web, scram, and mwd if you are going to be a tackler. I still like the Claw just for the speed. The thing is freakin fast. It also works as a great forward scout as it ...

29. Vagabond vs Rapier or Huginn - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I fly all three and the Huginn wins hands down on a 1 v 1 pvp engagement. If I am in a Vaga or Rapier and see a Huginn I run for the hills. However, Vaga has better solo survivability as it can best control engagement (ie run away) and the Rapier ...

30. Anyone got a Golem Setup ? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Bumping this as i'd like to see what other torp setups people have and what rigs/implants are used. Do people have problems with BS rats that orbit at 50km+ like in the Vengeance mission?

31. What is with the Golem and TP bonus? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
For those that use Torps, what is the minimum/recommended range needed for Torps to be effective (so you are not waiting or flying around to kill larger rats)? I am guessing you want enough skill/implants/rigs to shoot at least 55km away?

32. What is with the Golem and TP bonus? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Thanks for all the replies. The torps is starting to make more sense. Though I have a couple more questions. So for Torps you need maxed skills with speed/velocity rigs/implants. Without it you are more like 45km and in many missions the rats are...

33. What is with the Golem and TP bonus? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
So the Golem was created for Mission runners and was not supposed to be some super PVP battleship. That makes sense. So why there is a Target Painter bonus when Mission runners (for the most part) use Cruise missiles. With alright skills the cruis...

35. Is there anything the Tempest can do better than the Maelstrom? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
The Tempest (90 mil) gives you more DPS per isk spent then the Maelstrom (130mil). And it has more agility so you can GTFO when taking lots of damage. That is why in fleet fights you see almost no Maelstroms and lots of Tempests.

36. Recon Ships in small fleets - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
For a 20-30 man roaming gang I would say the most valuable recon is the Minmatar (Rapier/Huginn) as you want your prey to stay still and not do things like try to get back to the gate or out of your bubble. Three or so in the gang is pure ownage. ...

39. Caldari and Minmatar: A Thought - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I see it differently. Minmatar is speed so they have web bonuses to negate speed. Caldari can't miss and have range so they have EW so you can't shoot. Amarr uses up a lot of cap so they have bonuses to suck cap. Gallente has Scram because that is...
